Preview of the weekend action

Another win for the first team

Bont will be at Llanandras Park on Saturday

Presteigne St Andrews FC will return to action on Saturday, 2 March when they will take on Bont in a Spar Mid Wales League, second division match at Llanandras Park.

The two teams were due to meet at Bont last weekend, but that game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

This was frustrating for Presteigne boss Danny Williams, who had been looking to get the show back on the road after two disappointing performances.

There were no such problems for the Reserves last weekend as they came from behind to eventually overcome Talgarth Town Reserves 2-1 in a Mid Wales League (South) match at Llanandras Park.

Mark Weiland and Barry Williams’ side will make the short trip to Knighton Town Reserves this weekend when they will put their five-game winning streak on the line.

The kick off in both matches will be at 2.30pm and it is hoped to have the results up online at some stage later on Saturday evening.

Admission to the first-team game will be the usual £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
