Word reaches us this evening of a change of Mid Wales League (South) fixture for Presteigne Reserves in September.
As outlined on the site on Friday, the Ressies are due to have a month on the road as they will face four away matches in the month.
This situation hasn’t changed – they will still be away every Saturday of the month – but rather than heading to Penybont on Saturday, 14 September, they will now instead go to St Harmon .
The league secretary Paul Worts has informed us of the change – one of a number of revised fixtures for the day – although the reasons for the switch are not clear.
The six clubs affected were all due to have league games and, indeed, they still do – it is just they are now playing different opponents.
But I don’t suppose it will really matter that much – after all, you have to play them all at some stage during the season s0, rather than a day out at the Racecourse, it will be a trip into the hills above Rhayader for Mark Weiland’s side.
