AGM date fixed for 10 June

Presteigne St Andrews FC

Presteigne St Andrews FCPresteigne St Andrews FC’s committee has confirmed the club’s Annual General Meeting is to take place on Tuesday, 10 June at Llanandras Park.

This meeting is always a key point of the club’s year, but it is no exaggeration to say that this  year’s event will be possibly the most important of recent times.

Club chairman Alan Randell has informed the committee he will be standing down at the AGM and so we are going to have to find a replacement for this vital role.

On top of this, a number of other committee members have indicated they are finding the workload is growing and have also indicated they, too, would like to hand over the reins.

The bottom line is this – unless more people are willing to join the committee and help with the day-to-day running of the club then there is a serious danger things would have to be radically scaled back – or even worse.

This is not a case of ‘crying wolf’ – the point was made at the recent committee meeting that those who are in work are having to work harder than ever just to stand still and so have less time to give to the Football Club.

A number of committee members are already doing two or three roles and they have indicated they are no longer able or willing to commit so much time to the club.

So, please put the AGM date in your diary now and make sure you make every effort to be there – Tuesday, 10 June at the clubhouse at Llanandras Park when the meeting will get underway at 7.30pm.
