Much better weekend all round

No joy for either side this weekend

Wins for both teams this weekend

After the recent goal-fests against, it was good to get back to winning ways on all fronts as both the first team and Reserves came out on top in their respective games.

The first team had an early start in their Spar Mid Wales League, second division game at Talgarth Town as this one kicked off at 1.30pm.

This did little to throw Danny Ives’ side out of its stride, though, as they ran out 3-1 winners.

This was an especially encouraging result coming, as it did, off the back of three heavy defeats.

Meanwhile the Reserves also returned to winning ways as they saw off St Harmon 3-0 in their Mid Wales League (South) match at Llanandras Park.

While Mark Weiland’s side would have been reasonably confident of seeing off the division’s bottom side, they would have known they could not afford to take anything for granted.

This was a good way to bounce back from the disappointment of the heavy home defeat by Llanidloes Town Reserves in their last league outing.

More details on both games as soon as they come to hand, but we were looking for a reaction after recent games and, fair play to both sides, we got one.
