Reserves continue to chase down second spot

'Weedo' and Alan Stocker take the Reserves to Ceredigion on Saturday

Another fine win for the Reserves

Presteigne Reserves kept alive their outside chances of finishing runners-up in the Mid Wales League (South) when they picked up a 4-1 win at Llandrindod Wells Reserves on Wednesday, 23 April.

I have no details as yet of goalscorers etc, but this was clearly another good victory for Mark Weiland’s side who are finishing the season strongly.

They would need Rhayader Town Reserves to spectacularly implode (not literally) over their remaining two matches if ‘Weedo’s’ side is to finish second.

But, as mentioned previously, there is plenty on it for Rhayader’s second string as they could still take the title if they were to take four points from their last two matches.

I will get more details on this game up online just as soon as ‘Weedo’ sends me his usual detailed report by way of the Book of Face, but well done to the Ressies on another good win.

They will round off their season on Saturday, 3 May when they will host Bronllys at Llanandras Park.
