Presteigne St Andrews FC’s new first-team management team will have its first chance to cast an eye over their would-be players when pre-season training starts on Tuesday, 1 July.

Jamie Allen and Adie Bennett were appointed to the job last week and they will be looking to run the rule over the players at his disposal for the coming campaign.

Although they will be aware that work commitments and holidays will mean they might not have everyone at the first session, it will be interesting to see how many show up for the first training session of the summer.

Reserve-team boss Mark Weiland will also be much in evidence as he looks to build a squad capable of mounting another challenge in the Mid Wales League (South) in the coming season.

All players are welcome to attend the session which will take place at the John Beddoes School field and will get underway at 6.30pm.

So, if you are interested in playing for Presteigne St Andrews FC in the coming season, get yourself down to the school field on Tuesday night – it is promising to be another interesting campaign.
