The fixtures for the opening month or so of the Mid Wales League (South) season have been released and Presteigne Reserves will face a tough opening period.

They will start with two games at Llanandras Park in three days in which Llandrindod Wells Reserves will be first up on Thursday, 21 August.

There will then be a chance to take a first-hand look at league newcomers Carno Reserves who will visit on Saturday, 23 August.

Off the back of this will come three difficult-looking away games as Mark Weiland’s side will head to Newcastle, Rhayader Town Reserves and then Sennybridge – so that ought to be a decent test for ‘Weedo’ and the boys.

In addition to Carno Reserves there will be two other new clubs in the league this season as both Brecon Northcote and Hay St Marys Reserves have joined.

But there will be no trip to Bronllys this season – the Breconshire club has confirmed that, with regret, they have had to withdraw from the division this time around as they were unable to find anyone to run their team.

The fixtures are on the drop-down menu at the top of the page – hover your cursor over the ‘Reserves’ tab and click on the relevant season’s fixtures.
