Word reaches me that the proposed Reserve-team game against Knighton Town Reserves on Saturday, 2 August has been cancelled.
Apparently there are problems at the Knighton end as their first team also has a game on that day and they don’t think they would be able to raise enough players.
To be fair, we are still bang in holiday season and so this was always likely to be a problem for some clubs, but it will be frustrating for Mark Weiland and his squad as they look to build towards the new season.
The first team will return to action on Tuesday, 5 August when they will head to Tenbury Wells for a 6.45pm kick off.
