The first team are on the road again this weekend as they will head to Abermule for a Spar Mid Wales League, second-division fixture on Saturday, 27 September.

An encouraging showing at Llanidloes Town on Tuesday night will give the team heart for what could be another tough test in Montgomeryshire.

Abermule are currently fifth in the table and have won both of their home league matches so far this season, although they have played more games than any other side in the division.

These home successes came against Builth Wells, whom they beat 3-2, and then Newbridge, who left Abermule empty handed after a 2-0 defeat.

As for the Reserves, they will be back at Llanandras Park for a home game against Talgarth Town Reserves when Mark Weiland and his squad will be looking to get their side’s season off and running.

Something will have to give in this game as neither side has yet registered a point in the Mid Wales League (South) so far this season.

Here’s hoping it is Presteigne Reserves who bring home the bacon from this one – a win would give everyone in the Reserves’ squad a major lift.

The kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 2.30pm  and the admission prices will be as per normal for a Reserve-team game – so, £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.
