Well done to the Ressies – a great away win

Congratulations to Mark Weiland and his Reserve-team who picked up what was on their second win of the Mid Wales League (South) season on Saturday, 15 November when they came away from Brecon Northcote with all three points.

The Reserves would have been targeting this game at Northcote had also had a sticky start to their league season and so ‘Weedo’ and his boys would have always fancied their chances and this was borne out as they came away with a 2-1 victory.

Gareth Bull and Josh Gardner were on target for the Ressies in this one as they climbed to 12th place in the league table.

This victory took them above their hosts in the league table and out of the bottom two, while it leaves Brecon Northcote still searching for their first home league win of the season.

It has clearly been tough going for the Reserves so far this season, but well done to ‘Weedo’ and his boys for sticking at it.

Rhayader Town Reserves at Llanandras Park are up next, so here’s hoping the Ressies can build on Saturday’s win and really kick start the season.
