Friday-night action under the Llanandras Park lights

Friday-night football returns to Llanandras Park on 20 February as Presteigne St Andrews FC will host Kerry in a Spar Mid Wales League Cup, second-round tie.

Presteigne will certainly be buoyed up after the emphatic 7-1 home win over Newbridge in their last outing.

But, with all due respect to our Radnorshire rivals, Kerry are likely to prove a much tougher nut to crack as they are going well in the Spar Mid Wales League, second division this season.

They are in third place in the table and have won five of their nine away games in the league so far this season.

But few people gave the first team much of a chance when they took on Rhosgoch Rangers in the first round of the competition, so it’s to be hoped Jamie Allen’s side can recapture some of that kind of form this evening.

The kick off at Llanandras Park for this one will be at 7.30pm and admission prices will be £2.50 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.

As for the Reserves, they will have a weekend off from competitive action as they don’t have a fixture scheduled for this weekend.
