Presteigne St Andrews FC have been informed of a change of fixture for Saturday, 7 March.
Initially, we had been due to head to Kerry for a Spar Mid Wales League, second division game but Kerry are still involved in the Central Wales Challenge Cup and 7 March is apparently a conference date for that competition.
So, we will now be heading over the hill to take on Knighton Town in a derby game instead.
This will bring back painful memories of a record defeat against the Robins on Boxing Day when they left Llanandras Park with a 10-1 victory, so this will be a chance to go some way towards restoring some pride.
Hopefully the weather will behave itself between now and then and the game will go ahead as planned.
So, it will be a far shorter trip for the players, management and travelling supporters and here’s hoping it proves to be far more of a contest than Boxing Day….
