Seriously, if you have ever had the dubious honour of arranging such an event, you will know that what should be a reasonably straightforward task can turn into a logistical nightmare.
So, if you are planning on being there on Saturday, 30 May and you haven’t let either your manager or Tom know – now would be a good time.
You should also have let him have the money for the ticket – a very reasonable £15.00 – and your menu choices.
Just in case you are left in any doubt – yes, he does want the money up front; yes, he does need your menu choices five minutes ago and, yes, time has all but run out, so you really do need to get your backside into gear.
You might have noticed I am trying to spell this out as clearly as possible so that even the dimmest among our number can grasp the concept.
