Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to ensure the club’s Annual Fun Day proved a great success at Llanandras Park on Sunday, 30 August.

The main event was the music in the evening which proved a big hit with those attended – Temperance Hall clearly enjoyed it as they have posted the following on their web page:

“What an absolutely cracking gig at the football club, Presteigne!

“Has to be up there with one of the best – thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you again”.

On a slightly different – and surreal – note, space hopper racing was a new addition to the programme and this went down a storm with participants of all ages taking a key role in this ‘growing sport’.

“Tony Wood won the Veterans Space Hopper Challenge after he beat Anthony Napolitano in a photo finish,” reports club chairman, Andy Crowe.

“Also, in the Space Hopper battle of the sexes, the ladies beat the men in a dramatic final leg fracas,” he added.

Many thanks to all those who helped with the obstacle race and the face painting as well – it’s obvious from the image at the top of the page that the face painting wasn’t exclusively for the enjoyment and entertainment of the youngsters.

I hardly dare ask, but I am guessing there could well have been alcohol involved and here’s hoping the bruises aren’t too bad this morning.

But well done to everyone who took part in or played a part in organising the club’s fun day – it was clearly a great day.
