After a week off last weekend due to Brecon Northcote’s youth cup commitments, the Reserves will be back in action on Friday, 30 October.

They will head to the Weirglodd to take on a Rhayader Town Reserves side that has serious designs on winning the Mid Wales League (South) again this season.

Rhayader’s second string has certainly started well enough – they are four points clear at the top of the table although they have played one game more than second-placed Brecon Town.

They have won five and drawn one of their six home games so far and have scored five in each of their last two home games – they beat Brecon Northcote 5-1 and Builth Wells 5-4.

But ‘Weedo’ and his boys will doubtless feel they have little to lose and that they are capable of springing a surprise in this one.

The kick off in this one will be at 7.30pm and it’s hoped to have the result and some reaction up online either late on Friday evening or across the weekend.
