Don’t argue with them – you won’t win

For a side those disciplinary record has been pretty solid so far this season, the wheel came firmly off the cart at Lant Field as the first team crashed 4-2 at Builth Wells on Saturday, 28 November.

After going 2-0 down, goals from Alan Stocker and Owen Williams put Mark Weiland’s side right back in the match, but two red cards in about five minutes then put an end to any thoughts of a dramatic comeback victory.

Kai Dayas was the first to go in the second half when he was carded for a rash challenge, while Tom Ammonds followed five minutes later for a second yellow card.

A poor first-half-showing led to some of the players reportedly seeing the other side of Mark Weiland as he gave them a serious talking to during the interval.

But you don’t need to be a footballing genius to realise that you aren’t going to win too many matches if, through your own errors, you are at a two-man disadvantage.

If and when Mark sends through his thoughts on the game I will add them into the mix, but this again underlines our need to be watchful on the disciplinary front as the last thing we need is another fine from the FAW at the end of the season.
