Presteigne St Andrews FC’s manager Mark Weiland has made his first major signing of the summer with the arrival of Zac Evans at Llanandras Park.

25-year-old Zac was formerly with Cardiff City, Hereford United, Bath City and Newtown.

Zac has now fully recovered from a knee operation and will be keen to make his mark this season.

He has also taken the first pre-season training session of the summer as players began the build up to the new campaign on the John Beddoes School field.

Manager Mark Weiland was on a flying visit to the UK – after spending much of the past few weeks touring around France following Wales in Euro 2016, he’s due to head back for the game against Belgium in Lille on Friday evening.

I am told there are more signings in the pipeline and as soon as these details are confirmed these will be posted online.

We have also been told that our opening two Spar Mid Wales League matches will be on the road – we will head to Dolgellau on Saturday, 6 August while this will be followed by a trip to Newbridge on Wednesday, 10 August.
