Presteigne Reserves rounded off their Mid Wales League (South) league programme with a goal-less draw against St Harmon on Saturday, 22 April.

This was a disappointing end to the season as the Reserves didn’t hit the heights demonstrated in the win over Talgarth Town in their previous home fixture.

But credit to St Harmon who reportedly belied their lowly league position and put in a very good shift at Llanandras Park.

That result left the Reserves in sixth position in the league table, although they could yet end up seventh.

Ironically, the Ressies will need St Harmon – who are destined to finish bottom of the league – to take something from their final league game at Rhayader Town Reserves on Wednesday, 26 April if they are to hang on to sixth spot.

It seems a fitting time to thank Dale for all his hard work in running the Reserves this season – he has announced he is to step down due to changes in his work commitments.

Mark Weiland and Alan Stocker will become joint-managers of the Reserves for the 2017-17 season.
