AGM votes in officers for the coming season

Presteigne St Andrews FC

Presteigne St Andrews FCPresteigne St Andrews FC held its Annual General Meeting at the clubhouse at Llanandras Park on Thursday, 15 June.

It was good to see a good turnout of members for the meeting as well as our new County Councillor, Beverley Baynham who attended.

There wasn’t a huge amount of contention over the appointments of officers for the 2017-18 season in that those who occupied the jobs last season indicated they were happy to carry on in post.

The club decided that Edward Traylor should continue as President, while Andy Crowe agreed to stay on as chairman for the coming year.

Tom Ammonds will combine the roles of vice-chairman and secretary, while Rose Weiland will continue to ensure we are financially on the straight and narrow as treasurer.

Among others taking on roles were Alan Stocker who is cup secretary; Les Pitt, who is minute secretary and Trevor Owens who continues to run the website, while the committee remains the same.

The Social Club Annual General Meeting followed on from the Football Club AGM and the following were elected to jobs.

Tony Wood remains as President, while Tom Ammonds is the chairman.

There are two new faces on this committee with Haydn Williams taking on the role of secretary and Heidi Mecke stepping up as treasurer.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to both Amy Anning and John Bright who have stepped down from their respective roles within the Social Club.
