My thanks to Tom Ammonds for sending me the Reserves’ pre-season programme which opens today (Saturday, 25 July) with an away trip to Holme Lacy Reserves (Kick off: 2.30pm).

As usual with pre-season matches, there is a chance of these games changing at fairly late notice, so it would be worth checking back here on a fairly regular basis and especially on match days.
No news will be good news, though – we hope the fixture list will remain unchanged and joint-player-managers Mark Weiland and Alan Stocker can have a good build up to the Mid Wales League (South) campaign.
Meanwhile, the opening rounds of the ‘South’ league fixtures have been released and the Reserves won’t figure in either for the first two weekends of the season.
They will open their campaign on Friday, 25 August with a home match against Rhayader Town Reserves at Llanandras Park.
This will be followed up by another home game four days later in which they will host Newcastle.
The first away trip will be a short hop over the hill to Knighton Town Reserves on Wednesday, 6 September.
