Both sides are in action this weekend

Both of our senior sides will be in pre-season action this weekend with the Reserves getting things underway on Friday, 4 August.

Mark Weiland and Alan Stocker’s side will continue their build up to the new Mid Wales League (South) season when they will take on Orleton Colts at Llanandras Park in a 7.30pm kick off.

The Reserves ran into a very strong Clee Hill side in their last outing but it will be a case of putting that one down to experience and looking to move on quickly.

There will be no admission charge as such for the Ressies’ game but there will be a collection in order to help offset the costs of the referee.

As for the first team, they will round off their pre-season programme on Saturday, 5 August when they will head to Pegasus Juniors Reserves.

They were beaten 4-1 at Llandrindod Wells on Wednesday evening although  youngster Ewan Rhodes further enhanced his growing reputation by scoring a 25-yard lob.

This game will take place at Old School Lane in Hereford and is due to kick off at 2.30pm.

Manager Shaun Harris is still aiming to supplement the squad with a couple of new signings between now and the first league game at Talgarth Town.

It is hoped to have the results of both games up online at some stage over the weekend, assuming I can hold of the managers and garner a few details.
