Reserves handed home quarter-final tie in League Cup

A frustrating week all round
Presteigne St Andrews FC
It’s a home tie in the last eight for the Reserves

Presteigne Reserves will have a home tie in the quarter-finals of the Pip Samuels (Electrical) Mid Wales League (South) Cup.

The draw has handed them a home game against St Harmon.

Tom Crichton will have particular good reason to remember the home league game against the Swifts a month ago as he scored all four goals in a 4-0 victory for Mark Weiland and Alan Stocker’s side.

St Harmon are enjoying a good season – they are in fourth place in the Mid Wales League (South) table.

They have lost their last two league matches but these were against Llanidloes Town Reserves and Rhayader Town – two of the clubs that are widely expected to be up there and challenging at the end of the season.

No specific date has been identified for the tie, but we are told it won’t be until the turn of the year.
