Newbridge will be the visitors to Llanandras Park on Saturday

Presteigne St Andrews FC will return to competitive action on Saturday, 25 November when they will host Newbridge-on-Wye in a Central Wales Cup second-round tie at Llanandras Park when the kick off will be at 2.00pm.

Presteigne will be hoping to replicate the result from when the sides met in the league at Llanandras Park back in September when they ran out 4-2 winners.

But, in the interests of balance, it’s only fair we should point out Newbridge exacted retribution when we met in the Radnorshire Cup.

Newbridge ran out winners 1-0 on that day so it’s effectively ‘all square’ as we head into this one.

We would like to thank JTP Building for their kind sponsorship of this match.  You can click here to find out just how they could help you with that next building or renovation project.

After a bright start to the season, it’s been a tough few weeks for Shaun Harris’ side as they last won on 6 October when they beat Hay St Mary’s in a Spar Mid Wales League match at Llanandras Park.

But the goals have dried up in recent weeks and Presteigne have failed to register in each of their last four outings.

A Radnorshire ‘derby’ would be as good a game as any to get things back on track so here’s hoping the first team can progress to the third round.

Admission prices will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
