No chance of a game at Llanandras Park on Saturday

It won’t come as a massive surprise to anyone to learn that today’s scheduled Spar Mid Wales League, second-division game against Abermule at Llanandras Park has been postponed.

For the benefit of those not living in the immediate surroundings of the People’s Republic of Presteigne, suffice to say it has been caning it down from a great height for much of the night and this morning.

Club officials were down at the ground early this morning and it soon became apparent there was no way the game could go ahead.

So, that is another one that will be fitted into the schedule later in the season.

This means there will be no football for Presteigne’s senior sides this weekend as the Reserves were not scheduled to have a match anyway.

Mark Weiland and Alan Stocker’s side will return to action on Tuesday, 13 February when they will host Hay St Mary’s Reserves in a Mid Wales League (South) fixture at Llanandras Park – weather permitting, of course.
