Presteigne Reserves rounded off their Mid Wales League (South) campaign with a 3-3 draw at Builth Reserves on Thursday, 10 May.

Joint-manager Mark Weiland reports that, after a poor first half showing that led to them being 2-0 down at half-time, the Ressies responded well to the ‘words of wisdom’ in the away dressing room at the break.

Well, ‘responded well’ could be something of an understatement at the Reserves were level within the the opening five minutes of the second half courtesy of goals from Tom Crichton and Sam Roberts.

Builth went back ahead but then Tom Crichton equalised to make it 3-3 while Tom Lewis came close for Presteigne as he hit both post and bar.

Mark felt the Reserves had been much the better side second half and ultimately were unlucky not to win the game.

The Reserves will finish fourth in the table if Builth fail to win either of their remaining two matches.

The Ressies will round off their campaign on Friday, 18 May when they will take on Llanidloes Town Reserves in the final of the Alfred Sparey Cup at Llanandras Park when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.
