Presteigne St Andrews FC Club Privacy Policy

Presteigne St Andrews FC

Presteigne St Andrews FCIn order to comply with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) the club, in conjunction with and considerable help from the FAW, has published the new rules online.

These can be found in detail on the menu on the right-hand side of the page in the section marked ‘Club Privacy Policy’.

From the outset, this merely serves to set out the rights of an individual and what they are entitled to expect from the club in terms of the way we handle your personal data.

While they are very detailed, the essence is that the club has a responsibility over the data it holds on individuals  connected with Presteigne St Andrews FC.

For most people this will be email addresses and phone numbers when players sign on, for example, and also for match officials who officiate at Llanandras Park.

There are also implications for committee members and club officers whose details are held.

The main points can be boiled down as follows:

Clearly the secretary and managers need contact numbers for players and officials for the arranging of teams etc, while this information will, by necessity, be shared with the leagues and competitions in which the club plays. This is basically incorporated in a signing-on form.

We will only keep as much information as is required and the rights of the individual to access that information are set out at the bottom of the Club Privacy Policy.

When someone leaves the club, we undertake to remove their data from our system with in one year.

In terms of photography and video, there is a section in the policy that deals with this for publicity in both the local press and online here on this website.

Nobody under the age of 16 can be photographed or videoed without the consent of their parent or guardian. Anyone can request an image be removed from the website by contacting Trevor Owens.
