Presteigne Reserves will have an early opportunity to rid themselves of the disappointments of the heavy home defeat by Talgarth Town.

Mark Weiland and Alan Stocker’s side will take on St Harmon in a Mid Wales League (South) fixture at Llanandras Park on Wednesday, 12 September when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.

You may remember this fixture was originally scheduled for earlier in the month but was called off then due a serious outbreak of the matrimonials – half the squad was invited to a wedding.

After a really bright start to the league campaign, the wheels came off for the Reserves against Talgarth Town on Friday, 7 September.

But the management team will be stressing to the squad that the 6-1 defeat was only three points and, if they can get back on track against the Swifts on Wednesday night, then they are still in there and fighting.

The Reserves were missing a host of players for that Talgarth game and it’s to be hoped at least some of those will be available for the St Harmon game.

The kick off at Llanandras Park on Wednesday evening will be at 7.30pm and admission prices will be the usual £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.
