Presteigne St Andrews FC will be back in action on Friday, 9 November when they will host Hay St Mary’s in the first round of the Central Wales Cup.

This game was originally due to be played on Friday, 12 October but was postponed then due heavy rain leaving the Llanandras Park pitch waterlogged.

So, it will be ‘take two’ on Friday evening but manager Shaun Harris will have to overcome a host of injury problems if the first team is to plot its way through to round two.

“Tom Crichton won’t be risked after picking up a slight injury against Rhayader on Saturday,” said Shaun.

“Tom joins a long list set to miss out – Rory Hackett is another we won’t take a chance on as he has a knee injury.

“Neil Walmsley reminds sidelined along with Jordan McQueen, Ioan Hughes and Matt Venables.

“Curtis Williams and Jordan Cooper are both rated at 50/50 but may play some part in the game while Tom Lewis, Chris and Mike Evans are unavailable.

“I hope to have Tim Office stepping up for the first time this season and he joins Rob Taylor, Jordan Griffiths and also possibly Billy Hyett in stepping up to the first team from the Reserves.”

Kick off at Llanandras Park on Friday evening will be at 7.30pm and it’s assumed that – should the need arise – there would be extra time and penalties.

Admission prices will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.

A reminder there is no game for the Reserves this weekend – they were not scheduled a fixture.
