Presteigne St Andrews FC will host Borth United on Saturday, 15 December in what will be the club’s final fixture before the festive season.

After a disappointing run of form in the MMP with Norman Lloyd League second-division, manager Shaun Harris will be keen to redress the balance in this one.

The two sides have already met on two occasions this season – both on the Ceredigion coast and both ended with the home side coming out on top.

The first meeting was in a FAW Cup first-round tie back on Saturday, 1 September when Borth came through by two goals to nil.

Then there was that extraordinary afternoon in the league fixture in which Presteigne lost out by the odd goal in 11 as both managers were probably left praising their side’s attacking skills but pulling their hair out over the defensive side of the game.

Borth are only one place and four points better off than Presteigne in the table although it should be recognised they have four matches in hand.

Their league season has generally been based on their home form as they are yet to win on their travels.

Shaun has major selection problems heading into this game as around a dozen players are either injured or unavailable due to work commitments.

The kick off in this one will be at 2.30pm and the admission prices will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
