Presteigne St Andrews FC’s manager Shaun Harris has been working hard in his efforts to strengthen the squad.

Those efforts have come to fruition this week with the addition of three new faces to the squad.

“Josh Griffiths – formerly of Kington and Leominster – has played West Mids football and has also had spells managing Leominster Town,” said Shaun.

“Josh’ll take up the playing/assistant role left by Chris Evans. He’s a centre midfield player with a good range of passing who reads the game well.

“Jamie Davies is a young forward who’s had senior experience at Kington Town under Sam Bowen. He also played Hereford youth academy from u9’s- u18’s and Leominster Town.

“Jamie is an excited prospect and will join up with the squad next week away to Abermule.

“We have also added Joel Small who was also formally with Leominster Town but hasn’t played much 11-a-side football in the last few years.

“Joel trained Tuesday and didn’t look out of place and appeared to have a good voice on the pitch – something we have been lacking.

“Josh and Joel should join up with the squad this weekend subject to international clearance.

“We also see the return of Jordan Cooper and Matt Venables for an important game against Hay.

“We have lost Duane Anning due to a hamstring problem and Fin due to a shoulder problem.

“As it stands we have a strong squad of 15 to pick from this weekend.”
