A healthy range of pre-season games

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s new manager Terry Williams hasn’t been letting the grass grow under his feet in terms of his preparations for next season.

The pre-season schedule is all but finalised with a number of attractive games on the schedule.

The programme will begin on Saturday, 13 July with an away trip to Leominster Town while there will then be a home game against Kington Town Reserves on Tuesday, 16 July.

Hereford City will be the destination for the next match – that will be on Saturday, 20 July while the following Saturday will see the club on a ‘minibus away trip’ to opposition that are yet to be confirmed.

The Under 18s will have their moment in the sun on Tuesday, 30 July when they will host Hereford FC in the Edwin Traylor Cup.

Saturday, 3 August will see Newtown Wanderers visit Llanandras Park for what will be the final warm up game ahead of the new season.

Terry intends to arrange a further friendly for Tuesday, 23 July and intends that all friendlies will be ‘club’ matches rather than ‘first team’ or ‘Reserve’ games.

So, everyone will have a fair chance of staking a claim for first-team football for the 2019-2020 season.
