An away trip for the Reserves

Following the postponement for the Reserves’ scheduled home match against Builth Wells on Friday, 13 December, all attention this weekend now turns to the first team.

Alan Stocker is due to take his side to Dyffryn Banw for a MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second-division fixture on Saturday, 14 December.

After a tough game against the league leaders Penparcau in their last league outing, the first team will be aiming to put a dent in ‘Banw’s’ home record this season.

Our hosts currently sit in eighth place in the league table but they are unbeaten in their three matches on their own ground.

Home games have been something of a scarce commodity for Dyffryn Banw so far this season – they have played only three games on their own turf.

Of these, they have won two and drawn one but you have to go back some way to find their last home league game.

That appears to have been a 3-0 victory over Knighton Town on Saturday, 12 October.

Given the Reserves are without a game this weekend due to the Friday-night postponement of their match against Builth Wells Reserves it’s to be hoped Alan has a large pool of players from which to select for this one.

If you are making the trip to Dyffryn Banw please note the kick off in this one will be at 2.00pm.

It’s hoped to have the result of this one and a match report up online at some stage over the weekend.
