The latest on the prospects for the weekend action

Clearly, with Storm Dennis about to do its worst and with Mid Wales in the immediate path of the worst of the weather, there has been some doubt regarding both of our scheduled matches this weekend.

First, the good news – the Reserves’ game on Friday, 14 February will go ahead as planned.

Club officials have been down to Llanandras Park this afternoon and the pitch is fine so the Mid Wales League (South) match against Builth Wells Reserves goes ahead with a 7.30pm kick off.

Our thanks to Dyffryn Banw who have been in touch with the latest on the state of their pitch ahead of the scheduled first-team game there tomorrow.

According to a Banw spokesman, their pitch on Friday afternoon was not playable but, if it stays dry, their groundsman is hopeful the game will be able to go ahead.

But Dyffryn Banw say they will make a final decision before 10.00am tomorrow morning so as to avoid our players and supporters making any unnecessary journeys to Montgomeryshire.
