It won’t come as any great surprise to anyone to learn that Presteigne Reserves’ scheduled Mid Wales League (South) game at Brecon Corries on Tuesday, 19 February has been postponed.

Given the effects of Storm Dennis, even getting to Brecon would have presented issues for much of the week and that’s before you even start to think about the potential state of the pitch etc.

On top of this, players have to get home from work in time to travel and getting around parts of Herefordshire and mid Wales in recent days has been a challenge in itself.

All three scheduled matches for this evening at this level have been called off.

Hay St Mary’s were due to host Penybont United while Llanidloes Town Reserves were scheduled to head to Rhayader Town Reserves.

As for Bryn’s side, they will return to action – weather and any other storms permitting – on Saturday, 22 February when they will head to Newcastle.
