After posting the pictures of the pitch yesterday, it probably won’t come as any great surprise to anyone to report that Presteigne St Andrews FC’s scheduled MMP with Norman Lloyd League second division game against Abermule has been postponed.

In case you missed it, a Thursday-afternoon inspection revealed standing water on areas of the pitch and so we were always going to need a minor meteorological miracle if this one was going to go ahead.

Anyone living in the Presteigne area will tell you it clearly isn’t ‘miracle season’ as it rained for much of the night and the wind is blowing pretty strongly on Saturday morning.

So, it is another case of ‘match postponed’, I am afraid.

But, at the time of writing, the Reserves’ Mid Wales League (South) fixture at Newcastle is on.

If that situation changes, we will update the website and the club twitter feed but, as I say, at the moment here’s hoping the Reserves can get their game on.
