It is with regret that Presteigne St Andrews FC officials have taken the decision to suspend all club activities for the foreseeable future.
We had already learned of the FAW’s understandable decision to call off all football during the current Covid 19 pandemic while the club has also suspended the Super Lotto for the duration.
But the club’s committee has now gone further and confirmed that the Maundy Thursday Quiz, the Cricket Club Bingo and other such events scheduled for Llanandras Park have been cancelled.
Some people might see this as being an over-reaction but the fact is the government advice is currently to avoid pubs, clubs and similar such environments so we feel the very least we can do is heed the official medical advice.
When this is all over it will, of course, give us the perfect excuse to have a major party…..
