Five home games on the bounce?

There will be no shortage of home first-team games for fans in September

Presteigne St Andrews’ first team look likely to have five home matches in 22 days – starting tomorrow evening (Wednesday 1 September) when they will take on Newbridge at Llanandras Park.

The early exits from both the FAW Trophy and the Welsh Cup have led to Spar Mid Wales League secretary Phil Woosnam rescheduling matches for both Saturday 11 and Saturday 18 September – the next conference dates for both the Trophy and the Welsh Cup.

Presteigne will host what is likely to be a strong Berriew side on Saturday 11 September, while Tywyn Bryncrug are now reportedly due to be at Llanandras Park a week later.

With Newbridge due tomorrow night and then Bow Street on Saturday, combined with a scheduled home match against Carno on Wednesday 22 September, this will mean five straight home games between now and the trip to Dolgellau on Saturday 25 September.

The kick off in tomorrow night’s home game against Newbridge will be at 7.30pm.
