Weekend match previews are up online

Presteigne St Andrews FC
The first team will look to break its duck against Dyffryn Banw

Presteigne St Andrews’ teams will head into the weekend matches looking for the first win between them for more than three weeks, so let’s hope there is plenty to celebrate come Saturday evening.

The first team will have home advantage for the Spar Mid Wales League first division game against Dyffryn Banw while the Reserves head to St Harmon for their Pip Samuel (Electrical) Mid Wales (South) League Cup second round tie.   Good job they are not doing a programme – they would never get all that on the cover…

Barry Williams hopes to welcome back a number of players to the squad – Tom Ammonds and Max Powell were among those who played at Aberystwyth University last weekend but who then missed out in the week when Presteigne exited the Radnorshire Cup.

Max’s involvement will largely depend on any reaction he feels in his ankle after his comeback game last weekend.

There is a preview of the game against Dyffryn Banw on the first team page of the site.

Similarly, there is a preview of the Reserves match at Saint Harmon on their page – Andy Crowe’s side has lost its last three games so will be keen to get things back on track at a Swifts side that is struggling in the league this season.

Reports will appear on the site on either Sunday or Monday – as and when the information comes to hand.
