… which is easy for me to say…(!) In an idle moment on a week off, when there was not much on the tellie and the good lady had momentarily run out of jobs for me to do, I spent an interesting half-hour or so doing a bit of number crunching regarding the website statistics.
Looking at the current month of November, in terms of those countries that are viewing the site, it won’t come as any great surprise to learn that the vast majority of visits are from the UK – 88 percent of all traffic is from these shores, but there are visits recorded from no fewer than 57 different countries.
The United States produced nine percent of the visits while we also do well in Denmark, Japan and the Russian Federation. There has been passing (but very welcome) visits from people in: Saudi Arabia, Canada, China, South Korea and Tunisia to name but a few.
When it comes to the time of day when people view the site, 7.00pm-8.00pm GMT is the peak time with 321 visits during this hour. The traditional lunch and tea time slots also do especially well, although there are a lot of ‘night owls’ around as there is a steady stream of visits to the site until well beyond midnight.
On average, visitors look at 2.1 pages on the site while they are here, spending an average of 43 seconds per page.
