Presteigne St Andrews FC will continue the build up to the new season on Saturday, 30 July when they will take on Woofferton at Llanandras Park.
The kick off for this one will be at 1.30pm and all support for the game would be welcome as it will be the first chance to run the rule over manager Trevor Gummer’s side for the coming season.
To be fair, it is likely to be something of a ‘mixed’ squad as we are still bang in the middle of the holiday period and a number of players are away or unavailable due to work etc.
The make up of Woofferton’s squad is similarly something of an unknown quantity – they are due to field a team in the Herefordshire League first division this coming season, while their Colts are due to play in Division Two North.
The planned match involving the Reserves and Under 18s will not now go ahead – for the same reasons as outlined above – players are away on holiday etc.
Apparently there has been some confusion over the kick off time for this afternoon’s game, but an early-morning call to the chairman and secretary has confirmed that it is definitely a 1.30pm start.
