Presteigne St Andrews FC will have to put the disappointments of Saturday’s second division League Cup exit behind them quickly as they will be back into action on Wednesday, 30 November.

The first team will host Rhosgoch Rangers in a Radnorshire derby game in the Spar Mid Wales League, second division in which the kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 7.30pm.

After a surprisingly slow start to the season, Rhos have certainly picked up in recent times and are likely to prove a very different proposition to the side Trevor’s side played at Crow Lane earlier in the campaign.

That night Presteigne ran out 2-0 winners – the side’s first league win of the season and achieved very much against the odds as Trevor’s side started the game with only 10 players after Christian Roberts got lost on his way to the ground.

Ioan Hughes struck twice for Presteigne that night so Trevor’s side will be chasing a league double over a Rhosgoch side that will go into the game one place but five points better off than Presteigne, who have also played two games more than Wednesday night’s visitors.

Rhosgoch are clearly in decent form – they have won four of their last five league matches, including a 4-1 home win over Tregaron Turfs and a 3-1 success over Knighton Town, also at Crow Lane.

Admission for the game will be the usual £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
