A useful workout against Clee Hill

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s players got some much-needed minutes into their legs when playing a short-notice friendly against Clee Hill at Llanandras Park on Wednesday, 12 January.

Although the result went against John Haycox’s side in that they lost the game five-three, it was generally agreed this had been a very useful exercise..

Presteigne haven’t played a competitive fixture since a one-all draw at home against Felindre in a Mid Wales League (South) game on Tuesday, 14 December.

So, this was valuable match practice after almost a month away from league action.

We are grateful to Clee Hill for providing the opposition at what was fairly short notice and wish them well for the remainder of their season.

Presteigne St Andrews will be hoping that workout will stand them in good stead for what is promising to be a tough fixture on Saturday, 15 January when they will head to Brecon for a Mid Wales League (South) fixture.
