John Haycox has resigned his post

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s manager John Haycox has informed the committee of his intention to resign his post with immediate effect.

In a letter to the committee, John said it had been a very difficult decision as he felt there was still a job to be done at Llanandras Park.

However, he has been offered a post with a Step 5 Hellenic League Premier Division club and it was too good an opportunity to turn down.

In his letter, John highlighted the lack of player commitment towards the end of the season as being a major issue and it is one that will need addressing quickly.

The committee would like to place on record its thanks to John for his efforts during his time at Llanandras Park and we wish him all the very best for the future.

So, the search will begin for John’s replacement as first-team manager at Presteigne St Andrews FC.

Anyone who is interested in the post should contact club chairman Mark Weiland at their earliest opportunity.

There will be more information posted regarding this in the next few days, so please check back here on a regular basis.
