Presteigne St Andrews FC’s chairman Alan Randell has informed me of a change of date for one of the pre-season games, while another fixture has been added into the programme.
Alan has confirmed the first team is due to go to Llandrindod Wells on Tuesday, 6 August for what should prove a very good test as to just how the preparations are going.
Llan’dod finished runners-up to the runaway champions Llanfair United in the Spar Mid Wales League, second division table last season so will be playing in the first division this time around.
They will clearly see this as being a very important part of their build up to the new campaign, especially as it will come relatively close to things getting underway for real.
Meanwhile, Alan has also confirmed the club will be sending a mixed team of first-team and reserve players to Weobley for a warm up game on Thursday, 8 August.
Such is the nature of the pre-season programme that things can change at fairly short notice and should there be any other alterations then I will update the site as soon as that information becomes available.
