Easter is coming, all of which means two shorter working weeks for most, plus the annual Presteigne St Andrews FC Maundy Thursday Quiz night.
This year the event – strangely enough – will be held on Maundy Thursday, so 17 April at the club house at Llanandras Park when things will get under way at 8.00pm.
Tim Sanders will again be the ‘Jeremy Paxman’ figure firing the questions and this is usually a great night out as everyone attempts to beat the local quiz legends Norton United.
But, failing that, everyone can at least console themselves by having a pint and booing very loudly every time the scores are read out and Norton United are winning again!

Teams should be made up of four members and entry is £8.00 per team s0 rudimentary mathematics tells me that ought to come out at about £2.00 per head.
It is usually a great night and the perfect way to start the Easter Bank Holiday weekend so, if you are a loose end on Thursday night, get down to Llanandras Park and support your local club.
