Better news from the hospital

Following on from yesterday’s unfortunate incident in the Spar Mid Wales League, second division match at Llanandras Park, there is some good news this morning.

The Bont player Alex Marsh who was knocked unconscious when he collided with Presteigne keeper Simon Hamer has been discharged from hospital.

He was concussed as a result of the incident and so, understandably, the medical experts wanted to check him out fully before allowing him home.

Tom Ammonds tells me the Bont secretary Rhian Jones let him know this morning that Alex is out of hospital and everyone connected with Presteigne St Andrews FC wishes him a full and speedy recovery.

Sadly, as we reported last night, Simon Hamer broke his leg during the same incident and, as with Alex, we all wish Simon as quick a recovery as possible.

The club would also like to thank Annie Davies for her help and support in staying with Alex while he remained on the pitch during the lengthy wait for the ambulance.
