Hay await Rhosgoch in the Otway Final

Rhosgoch Rangers are through to the final of the Presteigne Otway Cup after a 2-1 win over Kington Town in their semi-final on Wednesday, 25 March.

This was a competitive, entertaining game played in front of a good crowd at Llanandras Park while it was also well refereed by Mark Ammonds.

Joey Price converted penalty in the first half for Rhosgoch who held that lead at half-time.

But, in the second half, Bryan Dyer cam off bench to equalise for Kington Town and the game went down to the wire with Ryan Stokes finally banishing any thoughts of extra time when he fired home the winner with five minutes to go.

Congratulations to Rhosgoch on making the final in which they will come up against Hay St Mary’s.

The date for the final is yet to be confirmed as it will doubtless depend on the commitments of the clubs in respect of other cup competitions.

But, as soon as we have the date firmed up, we will post it and all the other arrangements here on the website.
