Preview of the weekend action

Late goal secures a point for the first team
Presteigne St Andrews FC
A welcome home game for the first team

Presteigne St Andrews FC head into their home Spar Mid Wales League, second division game against Four Crosses on Saturday, 10 December looking to put points on the board.

Tom Ammonds’ side last picked up three points on Saturday, 15 October when they won 5-2 at Four Crosses, so will be aiming for a league double in this one.

With Presteigne third-bottom of the table and only a point and a place better off than their visitors there is no getting away from the fact this is a big game for both sides.

As for the Reserves, they will head follow in the first team’s footsteps by heading to Lant Field to take on Builth Wells Reserves.

The first team drew 4-4 in their game there last week and Dale Tomkins will be keen for his side to go one better so as to put themselves right in the title chase again

It is looking as though it is going to be the most open Mid Wales League (South) for many years – a fact underlined recently when bottom side Penybont Reserves beat the leaders, Talgarth Town.

The first team match at Llanandras Park is due to kick off at 2.30pm and the admission prices will be: £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
