No chance of a game at Llanandras Park on Saturday

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s scheduled Spar Mid Wales League second division game against Talgarth Town on Saturday, 20 January has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Club secretary Tom Ammonds flagged this up on Friday afternoon as the pitch was very wet and so Talgarth had the heads up that there was serious doubts.

An early-morning inspection on Saturday confirmed the heavy overnight rain had not exactly helped our cause, but it was decided to hold a second inspection at 11.15am.

When Tom took a second look it immediately became apparent that there was no hope of the game going ahead.

So, this is another one that will be rescheduled for later in the season.

As far as we are aware, the Reserves’ game at St Harmon goes ahead as scheduled.
