A place in the last four is at stake when St Harmon visit on Saturday

With there being no game for the first team on Saturday, 10 March, Presteigne Reserves will take centre stage when they will aim to reach the semi-finals of the Pip Samuel (Electrical) League Cup.

The Ressies will host St Harmon at Llanandras Park in a 2.30pm kick off.

Mark Weiland and Alan Stocker’s side will probably start as favourites for this one, not least because they have home advantage.

But they will be taking nothing for granted as, while the Swifts have sometimes struggled in the league in recent seasons, they are comfortably mid-table this time around.

The Reserves have done the league ‘double’ over St Harmon with a 4-0 win at Llanandras Park back in September while, more recently, they won 5-2 in the away game in January.

After encouraging albeit eventually fruitless performances in two tough away games at Llanidloes Town Reserves and Rhayader Town, the Reserves will be keen to get things back on track in this one.

So, if you are at a loose end on Saturday afternoon, why not head down to Llanandras Park and get behind the side as they chase that place in the last four?

Kick off is at 2.30pm and we hope to have the result up online at some stage across the weekend.
